Young person needing support to re-engage in to education
First Nations Support
A young Aboriginal student keen to return to school. Their family is supportive, but money is a barrier for accessing supplies. Turning up without a proper bag, stationery or uniform brings a feeling of shame, so attendance in the past has been extremely low. The young person is eager to re-engage and is looking for ways to get support with the basics for going back to class.

Our partner charity has requested this donation for someone they support who is doing it tough.

How it's helped before

[We assisted] a woman who had four children in primary school this year, she shared that she was worried about ensuring they all had what they needed and felt equally included, so the [GIVIT donations] really helped to lift that concern. Some women brought their children with them [to collect donations] and faces just lit up as they chose their lunchboxes and backpacks and packed their pencil cases.
