Nan raising 4 grandchildren has lost majority of family possessions due to water/mould damage from burst kitchen pipe.
The family in need of support consists of a grandmother who is the primary caregiver for her four grandchildren. Two of the children have disabilities and ongoing health challenges, which have increased the family's need for assistance to ensure their well-being is maintained. Recently, the family experienced a significant crisis when a hot water pipe burst in the kitchen of their rental home, causing extensive flooding throughout the property. At the time of the incident, the family was away and did not return for nearly a week. Unfortunately, the delay in discovering the damage led to severe water saturation and the development of mould throughout the home. Sadly the family was devastated to find that the majority of their belongings had been destroyed due to water and mould damage. This included essential items such as clothing, furniture, linen and homewares, treasured family memories and keepsakes and white goods. This situation is causing a great amount of stress for Nan.
