Single parent of 6 children, 2 of whom are under 3. Her brother was living with her and took her car, without her consent, and allegedly was the driver in an incident that was attended by the police. Her brother has been arrested and is currently incarcerated. Her car was impounded and she has to wait 28 days for it to be released. The release cost is around $600. The only way she can cover this cost is to receive support for groceries for her family of 7 and use that money to pay the impound fee. She is severely impacted by the loss of transport and has struggled to get the children to school and appointments.
This situation is impacting her already fragile mental health especially with the upcoming Christmas season and no money for Christmas presents for her children.
