The recipient was referred to a domestic violence service after leaving a violent and abusive 14-year relationship. She had been living in her sister's two-bedroom flat with her son and her sister's children. This situation became increasingly untenable due to her niece's serious psychiatric issues, creating significant pressure for the recipient to find alternative accommodation. The recipient and her son have also lived in "hoarding zones" and toxic environments, that resulted in financial, physical, sexual, medical, and emotional abuse with the family being categorised as "at serious risk" when completing domestic violence safety assessments. The recipient and her son now live in transitional housing and are struggling to make ends meets and would appreciate any kind of assistance in setting up a positive future.
