Blanket - Single

The client is a young mother of three who recently had to travel out of town to give birth, as maternity services are not available locally in Winton. During this period, she underwent an emergency caesarean section. While she was away, a severe deluge of rain and subsequent flooding impacted her home.
Upon returning, she found the property extensively affected by mould. The mould contamination has spread throughout the house, including her bed and bedding, her young son’s bed, and most linen and clothing. Although the baby’s room remained unaffected, all of her white goods—such as the fridge, freezer, and microwave—were found to be full of mould. The home is a Housing Commission property fitted with water-cooled air conditioners which, combined with the recent hot and humid weather conditions, appear to have contributed to the widespread mould growth.
Due to her recent caesarean section and the associated risk of infection, she is unable to safely remain in the property.
