Single mum caring for young son with a brain tumour is struggling financially and urgently needs help with groceries

An Aboriginal single mother has been caring for her young son since he was diagnosed with a brain tumour as a toddler. After a long and scary journey to get a diagnosis, her son underwent major brain surgery, and although most of the tumour was removed, some remains. He continues to have regular scans every six months, and doctors have warned the tumour may grow again as he gets older. This mum has had to cut back on work to care for him and travel long distances for treatment, which has caused ongoing financial stress. Grocery vouchers would provide much needed support, helping ease the pressure and ensure the family has food and essentials while they focus on her son’s health and wellbeing.
