One of our young mum clients has been working so hard to better hers and her babies lives, after escaping DV and experiencing homelessness as a result. She managed to get housed, save enough for basic household essentials, and is committed to giving her baby the best future (and doing a great job at it!)
Unfortunately her phone was damaged recently and she is now without a phone as its not a cost she is able to afford after re-setting their lives and household set up. Given she is a single young mum, with a history of DV, having a phone is essential to her accessing her support network, feel safe and have a way of communication if she isn't safe, and to access internet so she can continue in making positive strides. We are requesting $500 in JBHIfi vouchers so she is able to purchase a new mobile phone. Any help is greatly appreciated and goes towards a beautiful and deserving little mum and bub fam <3
