Urgent need: She urgently requires a hybrid wheelie walker.
● Lack of NDIS support: The NDIS application process takes a significant amount of time, and assistance from them isn't available yet.
● Financial difficulties: The cost of a suitable device at $2140 is a substantial amount.
● Her letter to me: My elderly parents are no longer able to push me. Sadly, Mum is stopping her dialysis treatment – she has had enough of it three times a week – so now it's a matter of seeing how long Mum will be with us…"
She's a very kind and smart lady; she just wants to be more independent.
