We are an open community garden for our diverse community to come and take time out, connect with nature and graze fresh food
GIVIT
Any one can come along on a Friday morning, share a cup of tea and work together to make a beautiful shared space. There is a diverse range of community members who turn up and slowly work to transform and improve our environment.
We are completely self funded and have occasionally retrieved grants. We aspire to provide paid employment to some of the community who seek it. We generate an income by processing food waste into compost that we can use and this money is reinvested into paid positions.
We leave simple tools like rakes and watering cans out for everyone to use. Some people take these things, but we see it as a cost we're willing to share among our better-off community.
