Single 66yr old female; trauma history; limited income & social support; recently housed. Needs furniture.
GIVIT
Client presented to our service August 2025 due to homelessness - was originally placed in crisis accommodation and has now moved into a 1 bedroom unit brisbane region. Due to being on Jobseeker payments, she has limited money to buy furniture. We have provided basic housing setup and client is still hoping to obtain a rectangular dining table & book case / shelves. She is very house proud & cannot afford to buy furniture. Currently she has a coffee table only, in her unit to eat off & wants to find a larger dining table so she can use the space to do art and enjoy her meals. Art would be extremely helpful for her mental health & well being which has declined due to being homeless, socially isolated & recently returned to Brisbane. Client is extremely grateful for all support provided to date & is frequently in tears due to the general stress she has experienced over recent months. It would be great to secure above items so that she can make her new home comfortable / functional.
