A local family of 5 has finally secured a safe home after a long and heartbreaking period of homelessness. They’re grateful to have four walls around them again — but with the high cost of rent, the single father is struggling to buy even the most basic household essentials, even second hand.
Right now, the children are sleeping on the floor on worn-out mattresses, and the family is using the laundromat every day because they have no washing machine. Their food is kept in an esky because they don’t yet have a fridge.
We are urgently seeking donations of:
• 1 washing machine
• 1 fridge
• 3 single beds and mattresses
These items would turn an empty shell of a house into a real home — a place where this family can finally breathe, rest, and rebuild.
