Ready to Learn
Mum has anxiety, depression and Fibromyalgia which gives her 6/10 pain on a "good day" and 9/10 on a "bad day". pain stops her being active with family. She never has a restful sleep, has muscle stiffness, brain fog, chronic fatigue, IBS, sensitivity to smells and light. She was made medically redundant after a 17yr corporate career. She has endometriosis and has lesions on bladder and bowel causing ongoing issues. She has chronic headaches and migraines that last for days. "I never know how good or bad I'm going to be on any given day. Most days I can't make dinner and are bedridden" Kids 9yrs & 14yrs boys, had to evacuate their home during the Feb fires, this compounded their mental health concerns, they need to access ongoing mental health support and additional school support. Dad works as much as he can to support his family, but with the cost of living, multiple medical costs, expensive specialist apportionments, travel costs due to living in a regional area, this is very hard.

How it's helped before

[We assisted] a woman who had four children in primary school this year, she shared that she was worried about ensuring they all had what they needed and felt equally included, so the [GIVIT donations] really helped to lift that concern. Some women brought their children with them [to collect donations] and faces just lit up as they chose their lunchboxes and backpacks and packed their pencil cases.
