The applicant is facing a challenging situation as she is confined to living in a single room of her property due to severe mould issues in the other rooms, which have taken a toll on her health. She is in urgent need of a new roof following the damage caused by Cyclone Alfred and is awaiting its replacement. As a 60-year-old Aboriginal woman living alone, she also desperately requires a new washing machine, as hers has been rendered unusable due to water damage from the same cyclone. Given her history of domestic violence and reliance on a pension, she cannot afford to replace the machine on her own. She needs support to secure the essentials that will improve her living conditions and overall well-being.
