Sleep Aponea Machines required for clients in the homeless community
GIVIT
We are a charity run company who urgently requires 2 x Sleep Aponea Machines for 2 clients at a men's shelter in the inner Sydney area.
The first client is a 46-year-old man who has been living in refuges since he was 10 years as his mother was homeless. Up until lately, he has never seen a doctor. He has now been diagnosed with various health conditions , one of which is sleep apnoea.
The second client is a 45-year-old man who has struggled with schizophrenia and obesity for most of his adult life. He is tortured by voices and has been prescribed medications which cause cavernous hunger, he has ceased taking these medications at times to harness the weight gains, but the voices return. He has undergone a sleep study which confirms severe and health destabilising sleep Apnoea.
Both these clients cannot afford a sleep machine which deeply hampers their chance of rehabilitation. One sleep machine costs $1,500.00 meaning we need a donation of $3,000.00 to support clients
