Family struggling finically due to recent eyesight loss of child, unexpected medical appointments and financial hardship
GIVIT
This family is struggling tremendously due to a recent medical episode causing vison loss of their primary aged child - the family have 2 children in primary school. The child has had sudden vison loss causing the need for urgent eye surgery, it is still uncertain if the vision loss is temporary. The family do not speak English and are struggling to navigate the medical system and the unexpected vision loss of their young child.. the family are also unable to drive to medical appointments which have to be in the city, which is over 1 hour on public transport to get to appointments. Usually, the family would take public transport, although unfortunately due to the nature of the surgery the family have had to take taxis/ uber - causing significant distress and hardship. The family still have multiple appointments to attend and are in distress of how to attend, the family have limited family support and funds and needing support to cover financial costs.
