Client has a young family with 4 young dependents, client is residing in rural and remote location with no access to public transport or Woolworths and Coles. Smaller convenience stores only are available in the area – cost of food and basic need supplies is higher- client is required to travel up to 46 km each way to access Woolworths store- making their fuel costs higher. The client is residing in private rental 2 bed to keep costs down. Clients have noticed the higher cost of living to strain the ability to provide the basic needs in the home. No assets to sell . Client is engaged with financial counsellor to assist with financial skills and resilience as well as capacity in the home. Client needs support with fuel vouchers with only 2 service stations in the local area Ampol and OOM Energy, this assistance will allow the client to travel to more affordable food stores to assist the client in sustaining the basic needs of the home. The family is at risk of homelessness.
