A family in regional Australia had been functioning independently... Recently this changed over night.
The father lost his job, the sole income for the family... and unexpectedly their eldest son, 9 years, lost use of his legs within a 48 hour period. Rushed to hospital some 4 hours away, and this is where he and his mother have remained as the hospital conducts intensive testing and treatment to try and restore his independence and reduce the extremely levels of pain experienced. The daily have been separated for 4 months.
The family are in a great deal of distress, thier financial situation is inflaming their worry. Dad is caring for the other children with no timeline of this wife and son's return, making it difficult him to work and get the family back on their feet.
