This resident is a single lady living on her own after loosing her husband last year. During the recent flood her home was inundated with flood water. The water reached over 2metres in her home, which is a one storey home, already built off the ground. She had to be rescued from her home when the water inundated the whole area. She has tried to do as much as she can with some assistance from local communities. However, she lost everything in the flood. She currently has no kitchen and no lining on her walls, leaving the bare timber beams exposed. She is unable to do the heavy work herself as she heart condition and needs a knee operation. She is on a disability pension only and the home was not insured.
