This retired couple were away from their home when the flooding occurred, they were then stuck due to flooding and highway closures unable to return for more than 2 weeks.
Living in their shed for the last 3 months with no progress in sight, the entire home has been stripped out while they wait for builders to reinstate it. With a lack of suitable accommodation available in their area, it will be a long road ahead for them living in their back shed while the rebuilding occurs.
They were fortunate enough to have home insurance in place but have no cover for their contents.
