60yo widowed survivor of horrific criminal violence. She was stalked by an international mafia group. They physically attacked her and her spouse, breaking into her house. They stole her car, furniture, household goods, and forced her to transfer $650,000 in cash. They took everything she owned, and she was left homeless. She reached out to authorities in Australia and the USA, but was not able to recover any form of compensation.
Due to the mental and emotional trauma, she lost her job, and has been living in homeless shelters since 2021. She suffers from Type 1 diabetes, which has made it difficult for her to recover and rebuild. She has been able to take up some casual work, and has recently been offered a place to live by the Department of Housing. She is excited for this new beginning, but is starting from scratch, and has no furniture or possessions of any kind.
