After frightening disruption and declining health, a man seeks safety and stability as he rebuilds his life.
This 54‑year‑old man has been trying to hold his life together while facing both physical disability and ongoing mental health challenges. His health has been declining, and he often relies on a mobility aid to move safely. Despite this, he works hard to stay independent and manage his daily needs. Before relocating, he lived in a property where constant disruptive behaviour left him frightened in his own home. It was unsafe, unsuitable for his mobility needs, and far from essential services, including his GP—requiring a draining 90‑minute trip each way. He has also experienced homelessness in the past, and the fear of returning to that situation weighs heavily on him. Moving to a safer home was vital for his wellbeing, but the transition has created significant financial strain. With very little family support, he is doing his best to start over, but the pressure is overwhelming. A helping hand now would give him the stability and peace he has been fighting for.
