I am currently working with a 13 year old girl who has recently reunited with her mother following a family divorce, and she is working hard to adjust to a new home, school, and community. Both my young person and her mother are learning to adjust to their new way of life, however the transition has been challengingl. My young person has faced bullying, which has impacted her confidence and mental wellbeing. Despite these difficulties, she is doing her best to settle in and find positive ways to express herself. She enjoys creative activities such as crafts and art, which help her manage stress and support her emotional healing. Additional support will help her feel more grounded, build her resilience, and create a safe space for her to express herself as she adjusts to these major life changes.
