The Client is a pensioner whose caravan was inundated with water for which she did not have insurance.

The client is a pension that was living with her husband in their caravan. This is the second time they have gone through a flood. However, since 2021 they have been unable to get any insurance on their home. The water went through their home and was up to chest height. They lost all their belongings and their furniture. They managed to save some things and have received some help from other organizations. They have applied for a grant but as yet have received nothing by way of govt assistance. She had a stove in her kitchen which has been affected and is not working. Her cupboards have also been affected by the water and need replacing. Both herself and her husband have health issues which are now being addressed with additional services being engaged. They have limited income and finding the costs of replacing items to be able to get back to a normal living standard expensive and often out of their reach. They have done as much as they can but need some additional help.
