A grandmother, and full time carer, of her 8 year old grandson, recently had their world transformed forever.
The young boy went to school as per usual and whilst there had a standard eye check conducted... only to be told that he had a significant tumour behind his eye that urgently required surgery as it was at risk of eruption.
The pair reside regionally, so have faced months of long distance travel to and from hospital for multiply surgeries, chemotherapy and countless specialist appointments.
This is a very isolating and challenging time for the two of them, they are both struggling emotionally and psychologically with the unknown prognosis and painful treatments... but also the financial pressure is crippling.
