Recipient story

Migrant family, FDV survivors, low income, education.
GIVIT
Single mother from China raising two children, currently completing her PhD with no family support in Australia.
The family fled severe domestic violence, which the children witnessed, and spent a long period in refuge accommodation before moving into transitional housing.
They continue to face financial hardship and rely on community and government support. Despite these challenges, the family is rebuilding well and excelling academically.
The eldest son has shown exceptional musical talent and a deep passion for the saxophone, previously nurtured through a school program that has now ended due to funding cuts.
He also lost access to the Tenor Saxophone that was being loaned to him. The family is actively seeking a replacement Tenor Saxophone so he can continue practicing at home and exploring affordable lesson options to further develop his skills.
