This resident and her husband have gone through four consecutive disasters, the resident suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome which prevents her from working, she is on a disability pension, her husband is on an old age pension.
Due to the lack of government funding they have had to fund the clean up on their property, this has used nearly all of their superannuation, they had to have asbestos removed along with many fallen trees and electrical work done, which they still haven't been able to finish paying for. They are accessing food banks weekly and just surviving week to week.
