My client has six children and has been experiencing homelessness for over a year due to the housing crisis. My client is First Nations and has escaped family violence. Due to the extensive family violence experienced, my client does not have a rental or employment history which is compounding her efforts to access safe and secure housing. People do not realise how expensive it is to be homeless as capacity to store and cook balanced meals is limited.
