Spinal Cord Injury patient requiring funding for accessible phone
GIVIT
Urgently seeking a phone / financial support towards a phone that can be used for a spinal cord injury patient with a significant disability impacting all aspects of mobility and hand dexterity. Patient has history of homelessness and significant financial hardship and does not have funds to put towards a phone as he is needing to put money towards a storage unit for all his belongings and will be needing to contribute towards rent in a specialised disability accommodation. The patient has been in hospital for his new disability since January. We have tried to apply for other grants however he has been deemed not eligible. The patient currently has no way of contacting others and access to a phone he can use will aid in creating safety for him in the community to call on his necessary supports.
