My client lost all of her belongings during the 2022 flood event. She had to leave her rental due to being seriously assaulted during a domestic violence incident that left her homeless. as a result of the assault she acquired a serious brain injury. My client has been homeless and living in place to place every few days through emergency accommodation. She has now been offered a pod in a temporary village. Due to losing all of her belongings she has no furniture. She requires a small bedside table that she could use to put a light on of a night and her phone, should she need to phone for help. My client has NDIS support workers to support her due to her head injury.
