First Nations Support
GIVIT
Client is a First Nations single mother experiencing active domestic and family violence. She has minimal supports and currently no safe place to relocate. Despite engaging with DFV services and seeking safer housing, suitable accommodation has not yet been secured due to family size and mobility needs.

A request is being made for vouchers to purchase security cameras to help increase her sense of safety and security in the interim period while awaiting DV funding and safe housing. Security cameras would help her monitor her surroundings, deter potential threats, and provide peace of mind for both her and her children. They may also assist in providing evidence should further incidents occur.

Secondary needs:
The family has recently experienced an outbreak of bed bugs and requires assistance obtaining new bedding and linen. They are also experiencing significant financial hardship, struggling to manage bills and afford groceries.
