We recently accepted a young single mum with two young babies in refuge, mum currently has no income due to not being an Australian citizen. We are working towards obtaining her citizenship however in the meantime the family has no resources for support for basic needs such as food, clothes, medications and essentials for the children. Mum also has an brain injury as a result on the long-term domestic violence so her capacity to work is reduced at the moment. Supporting this family with basic needs will support mum to focus on her safety and recovery during her time in refuge.

I am writing to personally thank 'GIVIT' for a generous 'Simply Groceries eGift card' voucher that I was gifted, with $100 worth of essential spending money for my family & I to utilise at our own discretion. I can happily report this donation has assisted the purchase of a basic, solo, wifi security camera, with the excess going toward food for my teenage daughter who is currently taken on responsibilities around our home while I recover in a rehabilitation centre. Thank you for this kind gesture, as it has helped to improve security measures around our home & support my daughter to purchase daily essential items such as groceries, basic hygiene & cleaning products.
