A lady from a CALD background and a mother of one child with a medical condition suffered from physical and financial abuse by her ex-husband. She was socially isolated in Australia for a considerable time and has limited and no English communication skills. She is currently at risk of homelessness and has no access to the Australian social benefits and medical system or any other source of income. She is currently unemployed and has no working rights in Australia. She is an asylum seeker and seeks protection in Australia fearing for her life and her son's life as she can't go back to her home country escaping the threats of her ex-husband's family to kidnap her child if she didn't go back to her ex-husband. She can't afford her medical expenses and her life is at risk. She has high blood pressure (hypertension) disease and was born with one kidney. Her health condition significantly increases the risk of kidney failure and needs regular check-ups and monitoring.
