I am writing in support of a client, a single mother of three children, originally from Afghanistan, who is in urgent need of material aid to support her family.
The client has endured years of family violence, including physical, emotional, and financial abuse from her husband and older children. As a result, she is now emotionally and physically exhausted and facing significant mental health challenges. Her health issues have left her unable to work, and she is currently reliant on Centrelink payments as her only source of income.
Unfortunately, these payments are insufficient to cover the high cost of rent, bills, and food, leaving the client unable to meet even the most basic additional needs.
Any assistance in the form of material aid (e.g., food vouchers, clothing, etc.) would significantly help alleviate some of the daily pressures she is facing and support her
