Extremely rural remote area , young family no access to transport - cost of living struggle
Client is living in extremely rural and remote town on the Western Downs QLD. Client has no access to public transport or current own transport- client is a single parent with children under 3 years of age. Client resides in town with one service station (BP)and one Foodworks to access basic needs. Local Woolworths is located 116km one way from home . Client is requiring to pay inflated prices for basic needs based on the limited options in the local area. The client needs to rely on and pay for family and friends to take them to another town to obtain woolworths options - as no delivery service is available in the remote access of town location . Client has engaged with Financial counselling to better support their young family , through financial education and capability skills and resilience training and addressing financial matters and barriers t gaining reliable transport . client is in need of fuel and food vouchers
