Uninsured family impacted by flooding
2025 North & Far North QLD Floods
A family of four, with two teenage boys who live at Taylor’s Beach and so early on were cut off from town. In total they were cut off for two weeks and had no power for one of those weeks. Their couch became so mouldy it had to be thrown away, and the chest freezer would not turn back on after the power came back on. They had to throw away all of their freezer food due to the lack of power. Their windows leaked leading to the mattress getting wet and becoming mouldy.
