Two young siblings, attempting to rebuild stability and safety in their lives. The brother is currently staying in crisis accommodation, while his sister has been couch surfing after spending months living in a van with her service dog.
The sister has just been approved for a Transitional Housing property, with a move-in date expected before Christmas. For the first time in a long time, these young people will have a safe and permanent place to call home.
However, they cannot afford the cost of relocating their furniture and essential belongings from Coffs Harbour to Port Macquarie. With no stable housing and no capacity to save, they are facing the prospect of moving into their new home with nothing but the clothes they currently have with them.
