My client is currently residing in Transitional Housing due to being homeless.
GIVIT
My client had left his country of origin in 2019 due to ongoing conflict from both family members and the community. He had settled in Australia with his mother and younger sister. His mother has since remarried and due to having experienced FV with her new partner my client was unable to remain in the family home and had spent some time couch surfing. He was referred to our service 12 months ago seeking assistance with stable accommodation. During this time, he has been able to access employment, obtain his driver's license and purchase a vehicle. He has now also accessed long term housing. All these goals would not have been achievable without ongoing support - both financially and emotionally.
