She is a young mother of five beautiful children. From the age of just sixteen, her life has been shaped by some of the most horrific experiences a person can endure. For years, she lived through domestic violence, pain that left deep emotional bruises long after the physical wounds faded. Two years ago, she finally found the courage to leave. But the journey that followed has been just as difficult.
She is still navigating the trauma, battling severe mental health challenges that stem from years of fear, isolation, and survival. Her children, too, carry their own scars. Growing up in a toxic and unsafe environment has left them with behavioural challenges that require patience, love, and support, things their mother offers wholeheartedly, even on the days she is struggling to stay afloat herself.
Last year, the weight of it all became too heavy, and she experienced a mental breakdown. But she is fighting her way back, step by step. She demonstrates remarkable resilience.
