Mother experiencing homelessness with 2x children looking for educational assistance
GIVIT
A mother from Sierra Leone and her two children are currently experiencing homelessness and have been couchsurfing on their friends couch since April 2025 due to unaffordable housing / economic hardship. They are currently awaiting housing support, however due to the current housing crisis, there is uncertainty around how long the family will be waiting. Mum has also been experiencing significant post partum depression, however, is currently being supported to link in with supports to move toward better health and wellbeing.
Mum is currently on a sole Centrelink income and is unable to afford to provide her child an IPad required for educational purposes.
