GIVIT
A is a 12-year-old girl who is about to enter her first year of high school. One of the requirements that comes with starting high school is providing your own laptop device as all learning is now done with the support of technology. A’s high school is a BYO device school.
A has shown great potential in her learning throughout her primary education. She was a very diligent student attending high grades. As A progressed through her primary education she was exposed to significant bullying from other students within the classroom and wider school environment. This caused significant distress to A and resulted in her grades declining.
Up until November 2025 A had lived with her siblings under the care of their paternal grandparents since birth. Due to a number of factors and fractured relationships within the home, her grandparents separated in July 2025. A and her siblings are now separated.
A is now residing with her Aunty and her husband as an urgent placement.
