Vulnerable teenager with special needs has recently experienced sexual violence causing great stress on her and her family.

A fifteen-year-old girl with intellectual impairment has recently experience a violent sexual assault in the family home. This has impacted both her and her parents' mental health. Due to the stress her father had taken some time of work and was let go due to "being unreliable". The family is now struggling to make ends meet on one income and they are hoping to be able to put a security camera inside the home redecorate their daughter's room and get her a new bed to replace the one she was assaulted on in hopes this will help bring back a sense of safety within the family home.

I am writing to personally thank 'GIVIT' for a generous 'Simply Groceries eGift card' voucher that I was gifted, with $100 worth of essential spending money for my family & I to utilise at our own discretion. I can happily report this donation has assisted the purchase of a basic, solo, wifi security camera, with the excess going toward food for my teenage daughter who is currently taken on responsibilities around our home while I recover in a rehabilitation centre. Thank you for this kind gesture, as it has helped to improve security measures around our home & support my daughter to purchase daily essential items such as groceries, basic hygiene & cleaning products.
