63yo Laos/Thai woman, struggling financially, was in a refugee camp in 1984, socially isolated, very minimal support.
GIVIT
63 year old Thai/Laos woman. She originally came to Australia from a refugee camp in 1984 and recently moved to Brisbane. She currently lives alone. She has a disability and is on DSP. She is in financial hardship. She moved to Brisbane to be closer to her cousin. Her cousin helps with emotional support but is unable to help financially. She has very little support. Due to financial constraints, she has been unable to furnish her home with essential furniture. She has been sleeping on the floor on a mattress as she has been unable to obtain a bed. She relies on her garden to grow her foods and only pantry foods due to not owning a fridge. With the heat this may impact her health as food will go off. This is making everyday life difficult for her. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
