This request is for a brave and resilient mother of five children who is in urgent need of a working washing machine.
This mum has overcome significant hardship throughout her life. Growing up in care, she was exposed to cycles of drug misuse, violence, and financial instability. As an adult, she has experienced significant domestic violence at the hands of the father of her children. She has since made the courageous decision to flee that unsafe environment to protect herself and her kids.
Now parenting on her own, she continues to do everything she can to provide a stable and loving home. She is incredibly resourceful and rarely reaches out for support — but right now, she needs help.
Without access to a vehicle and with the nearest laundromat too far to reach on foot, this mother has been handwashing all clothes, towels, and bedding for herself and her five children. This physical burden has taken a serious toll, and she is now awaiting an X-ray for a suspected wrist fracture.
