It was described as the most frightening experience of their life and has continued to cause considerable anxiety and stress, especially due to the minimal support in their life.
They are now living away from the area in shared accommodation and are experiencing severe financial hardship as they scrape to pay for rent and utility bills and report not having sufficient funds left over to buy food.
They have multiple health, mental health and physical conditions, all causing significant pain.
They are continuing to live with extreme anxiety due to living their whole childhood in a war-ravaged country and they referenced that since the Feb 24 storm event, they feel they are living in another war, due to the lack of food access.
