GIVIT
Resident has become unemployed due to serious chronic health conditions Fibromyalgia and Graves disease. Having used all his savings to meet mortgage payments is now facing arrears. The heating unit needs replacing, and the home is currently unheated, which poses a health risk. Resident is challenged by fuel costs to attend Rheumatology and endocrinology appointments; school transport alone reaches 250 per week. Resident is devoting much effort and worry to access some employment and engage in financial counselling to improve his current situation. The storm event and subsequent food spoilage represented a significant loss for this family. Resident experiences significant anxiety regarding his financial situation and feels overwhelmed at times.Food and fuel vouchers would enable finances to be freed for other recovery takss.
