An 80-year-old grandmother who is the full-time carer for her four grandchildren is seeking support.
Due to a recent change in circumstances, she now relies solely on the Age Pension and no longer receives the Family Tax Benefit that previously helped her support the children.
She is experiencing significant health issues, and with mounting bills and the cost of providing daily essentials, the family often has little—or no—money left for anything beyond basic needs. As the festive season approaches, she is unable to afford a special Christmas meal, or gifts and festive items to help the children feel included at this time of year.
Any support to bring comfort and joy to this family during the holiday season would be deeply appreciated.
