After flood, medical evacuation, multiple surgeries and the need of a new a new clutch to make a new start
Recipient was medically evacuated after the 2023 Cyclone Jasper flooding event, having only received his replacement caravan & has been unable to relocate his van as the clutch on his 2017 Holden Colorado needs replacing. He is unable to get a NILS loan. Recipient also needs to attend regular Doctor & physiotherapy appointments because of the multiple hip surgeries he has undergone. As there is no public transport, & due to his restricted walking ability, he can only make short trips to the corner store and carry minimal food back, forcing frequent, expensive visits that consume most of his Centrelink payment and leave little for other essentials. He must rely on others to get him to medical appointments. He cannot afford the urgent vehicle repairs, leaving him isolated and unable to access medical care or adequate nutrition. This assistance would provide stability, dignity, and renewed independence supporting his physical recovery & emotional wellbeing,
