This woman returned home expecting to resume daily life, only to find that many of her essential belongings were no longer there. Without basic furniture or household items, she has been left trying to settle into a space that does not yet feel safe, comfortable or functional.
She is currently sleeping on the floor due to a damaged mattress, causing ongoing discomfort and poor sleep. With limited financial resources and no access to transport, replacing large or bulky items has not been possible. The absence of simple comforts has made it difficult for her to relax, care for herself and feel secure in her own home.
Support at this time would make a meaningful difference. Access to a queen-size mattress, a basic lounge, towels and a television would help restore comfort, dignity and a sense of normality as she continues working toward stability and independence.
