A young mum is currently trying to rebuild her life after a significant FDV relationship resulted in physical injuries leading to spinal surgery, a need for extensive dental treatment and unmeasurable trauma. This single mum is currently in a refuge and needs assistance with various items including a laptop of her own to complete documents for impending court proceedings against the FDV perpetrator. Her intention is to return to study next year so she can return to the workforce in a part time capacity while waiting to be housed, and caring for her toddler. She has shown remarkable resilience and optimism in working through the barriers to rebuilding her life and continues to engage with counselling and other services to assist her in achieving her goals.
