Our client saw the smallest window of time to leave a long standing, highly abusive relationship. Within an hour, their entire life was reduced to what they could fit in their car. With no family around to support them, they knew that leaving was easier in the long run than staying. The transition has been difficult, not only for the actual 'leaving' but is compounded by being isolated over this Christmas break, amid support service shutdowns and missing friends and family. There are many appointments to attend and work is not reliable.
